No Injuries Reported after Two-vehicle Accident in Ferguson Township

FERGUSON TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on the Tyrone Pike in Ferguson Township, according to the Clearfield-based state police.
Brian D. Hutton, 42, of Curwensville was traveling northbound and negotiating a right-hand curve in the roadway. A Vehicle driven by James A. Bloom, 41, of Curwensville was traveling southbound and negotiating a left-hand curve.
Hutton was traveling too fast for the road conditions at which point he entered the southbound lane. His vehicle subsequently struck that driven by Bloom.
After impact, the Hutton vehicle traveled approximately 33 feet, coming to a rest along the western shoulder. The Bloom vehicle continued southbound for approximately 30 feet before coming to a rest partially in the southbound lane of the Tyrone Pike.
Neither Hutton nor Bloom was injured; both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. Hutton was cited for three summary traffic violations through the district court.
