Rally set at Rec Hall before Penn State-Ohio State gridiron battle
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Blue & White Society and Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics are teaming up to host the traditional Rally in the Valley football pep rally at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, in Rec Hall. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. on the eve of the Penn State-Ohio State clash. Admission is free and on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Nittany Lion faithful will be pumped up and primed to get ready for the highly-anticipated all-stadium Penn State WhiteOut game. All Nittany Lions fans are encouraged to wear white to both Friday’s pep rally and Saturday evening’s nationally televised duel with the No. 9 Buckeyes.
Rally in the Valley will feature the Nittany Lion football team and Coach Bill O’Brien, who will be introduced by men’s basketball head coach Patrick Chambers, along with the Penn State cheerleaders, the Blue Band, the Lionettes dance team and the Nittany Lion. T-shirts and shakers will be given away at the pep rally.
Winners of five consecutive games, Penn State (5-2, 3-0) and Ohio State (8-0, 4-0) are tied atop the Big Ten Leaders Division. The Nittany Lions will be facing the Buckeyes in a 5:30 p.m. contest in Beaver Stadium that will air on ESPN, the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com. Penn State and Ohio State will be meeting for the 20th consecutive year and 28th time overall.
