Police Report: Clearfield PSP

- State police apprehended Mike Whitmore, 30, of DuBois after he was identified in security camera photographs that were provided to the media. He was interviewed by the Clearfield-based state police regarding an alleged incident of burglary. He’s been arraigned on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, criminal attempt/theft and criminal mischief. The investigation is continuing into the other commercial burglaries that were reported and the suspects involved.
- An incident of identity theft occurred sometime Friday or Saturday on Teutonic Avenue in Decatur Township. Someone used a 66-year-old Houtzdale man’s debit card to make purchases online. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of burglary occurred sometime between Oct. 6 and Saturday on Schoolhouse Road in Morris Township. Someone gained access to a 55-year-old Morrisdale man’s residence by kicking in the basement door. They then damaged some items and fled the scene. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m. Sunday on Cherry Avenue in Morris Township. A 17-year-old Morrisdale girl allegedly threw a large rock to smash the windshield of a 46-year-old Allport woman’s vehicle. Damage is estimated at $400. Charges will be filed through the district court.
