Georgetown County Sheriff’s Dept releases images of armed robbery suspect in Murrells Inlet to seek public help

Georgetown, SC, United States (4E) – The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office has published images of a suspected thief at a gas station in Murrells Inlet community, and are asking for the public’s help to identify him.

According to investigators, the man is armed with what looked to be a handgun, went inside the Citgo Gas Station located at 3741 Highway 17 Bypass around 7:45 p.m. and demanded money from the staff.

The suspect then fled through the front door, escaping to an unknown direction.

He is described as a white male, roughly 5’6 tall with a slim build, wearing blue jeans and a dark-colored hoodie. No one was injured during the incident.

It was reported that the Bloodhound Tracking Team was sent to examine the scene.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or has any information about the robbery is urged to call the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at (843) 546-5101.
