Speculated price of the iPad Mini to be between $299 and $399

Cupertino, CA, United States (4E) – The price of Apple’s much anticipated iPad Mini is speculated to be between $299 and $399 which is the price of the latest iPod touch and iPad 2 16GB Wi-Fi model, respectively. Analysts predict the price will not be lower than $329 in the United States.

The iPad Mini will only be available with Wi-Fi configuration. Other iPad Mini models with upgraded additional disk space may cost around $429 and $529. The top model of the iPad Mini, which will feature 4G capability, may cost up to $659.

The price of the iPad Mini will be higher than the latest iPod to keep interest on the iPod from waning. While the iPad Mini is yet to be officially announced, analysts expect Apple to launch it on the company’s scheduled press event on October 23.

Popular Apple website 9to5mac speculates that “the smaller iPad hardware would be akin to an iPod touch, sporting skinny size bezels in comparison to the bezel on the iPad with the 9.7-inch display. Numerous reports have pinpointed that this new iPad variant will feature a 7.85-inch display, the new Lightning connector, front and rear cameras, and an ultra-thin and light design.”

Along with the iPad Mini, Apple is also expected to unveil a 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro and the latest model of its Mac mini.
