Josephine C. Baloniak, 94, formerly of DuBois, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at Christ the King Manor.
Born May 7, 1918 in Stanley, she was the daughter of the late Peter Stankavich and Twila (Margolis) Stankavich.
She was married to Joseph T. Baloniak. He preceded her in death Oct. 28, 1985.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking.
She was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Mrs. Baloniak is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Hudak and her husband, John of DuBois; a sister, Elizabeth “Libby” Masisak of Stump Creek; two grandchildren, John Joseph Hudak of Springfield, VA and Catherine Hurst of Lake Ridge, VA; and four great-grandchildren, Kayla and J.D. Hurst and Ashley and Faith Hudak.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, William, George and Edward Stankavich.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Scriptural Wake Service will be held on 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. David Foradori as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
