Burglar Targets Down River Restaurant and Store

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP – The Down River Restaurant and Store was burglarized sometime between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in Goshen Township, according to the Clearfield-based state police.

Someone forced open a store window with an unknown blunt instrument. Once inside they stole an undetermined amount of U.S. Currency from the cash register and bank bags. Damage is estimated at $200.

The incident remains under investigation at this time. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
