Police Report: DuBois City

  • An incident of burglary occurred at 2:27 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of East Scribner Avenue. Upon arrival the victim advised when she’d awoken, she’d realized her residential door’s window was smashed and items had been stolen from inside. The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
  • Police were dispatched for a unknown man who was looking inside a residence at 10:06 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of East Scribner Avenue. The caller advised police that the man was wearing a black hat and coat and jeans. He was observed running toward East Scribner Avenue and Zierdan Alley. Police searched the area but were not able to locate the man. The investigation is ongoing.
  • An incident of vandalism occurred at 12:07 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Pifer Street. Upon arrival the victim advised police that someone threw something at her back door, shattering its glass. She said a car sped away from the scene. Police searched the area for the vehicle that was described as a black-colored, two-door sports utility vehicle. However, police had negative results after their search. The investigation is ongoing.
