Catawba County, NC, United States (4E) – Two North Carolina high school boys who have been missing since Friday are presumably heading towards Myrtle Beach say authorities.
The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office reported that both ,17- year-old Jake Ziegler and 18-year-old Ray Pierce, could be on their way to Myrtle Beach as claimed by Ziegler’s sister, Jackie Ziegler.
The sister claimed that her teen brother made his last phone call at around 3 a.m. Saturday in Rock Hill.
She said that there is no activity on their cell phones and on their debit cards, adding “we don’t believe they don’t have any cash with them. They have one Shell card for gas and they can use it for food, however I can’t trace it until Monday morning.”
The families of the boys, who both attend Bandys High School, were worried.
Family and friends are planning on Monday to search for a 2006 Green Pontiac G-6 with NC plates BBD-8844, the car that was being driven by the boys, along I-77 to Columbia.
For any information about the teens or the vehicle, please call Myrtle Beach police at 843-918-1300.
