Baltimore, MD, United States (4E Sports) – Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is out for the season with a complete triceps tear coach John Harbaugh announced Monday.
Lewis sat out the final few drives of Sunday’s game 31-29 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
It is a huge blow for the Ravens as they will now be without their emotional leader. Baltimore is still missing Terrell Suggs, who has not returned from a hamstring injury and it was also announced Monday that cornerback Lardarius Webb is out for the year with an ACL injury.
The 37-year-old Lewis has been selected to the Pro Bowl 13 times, has 41.5 sacks, 31 interceptions and leads all current active players with 226 NFL starts.
