Police Report: Lawrence Township

- A suspicious person was reportedly attempting to gain access to a Clearfield-Shawville Highway business. Upon arrival, police learned it was an employee.
- An incident of retail theft occurred at the Clearfield Mall.
- Police checked the welfare of a woman who appeared to be under the influence on Supercenter Drive.
- An incident of theft occurred at a local motel.
- An incident of theft occurred at a South Second Street business during which someone stole a cellular phone that belonged to an employee.
- A speeding complaint occurred on Wrigley Street; extra patrols will be provided to the area.
- An incident of trespassing occurred on private property; however, police weren’t able to locate the suspect.
- An incident of retail theft occurred at a state Route 879 business, which resulted in the arrest of a Clearfield woman.
- A disabled vehicle was reported on Daisy Street Extension.
- Three, separate reports were received about reckless driving; two occurred in the Hyde area and another on the Rockton Mountain Highway.
- An incident of disorderly conduct occurred at a Woodland Road business. The incident was handled at the scene.
- State police were assisted with an accident that occurred on U.S. Route 322 and SR 153.
- A suspicious vehicle was reported on Nelson Road.
- An incident of harassment occurred at the Clearfield Middle School. The incident is under investigation.
- An alarm occurred at a Hyde business; however, police and a key holder found it to be secure.
- A residential alarm occurred in Golden Rod and the homeowner heard someone at the back door. Police checked the area but couldn’t locate anyone.
- An alarm occurred at a Daisy Street Extension business; however, it was caused by cleaning personnel.
- A motorist was assisted with unlocking their vehicle.
- An incident of trespass occurred on Lawana Lane, and police asked the person to leave.
- An alarm occurred on Riverview Road and police determined the building was secure.
- Shots were reportedly fired at or near an Old Penfield Highway residence. However, the suspects were gone prior to police arrival. Police obtained a vehicle registration, and the incident remains under investigation.
- A suspicious person was reportedly pacing back and forth in front of a Williams Street residence. The man was picked up by a gray-colored Chevrolet Avalanche before police arrival. Police couldn’t locate the vehicle.
- Police were contacted about child custody and medical treatment. The matter was referred to Clearfield County Children, Youth and Family Services.
- Police checked the welfare of a mother and two children at the Lawrence Park Village Apartments. Everyone was OK.
- Police are investigating the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle incident, where a known woman took possession of a vehicle under false pretenses. The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
- Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred at the Wal-Mart Supercenter. A gold-colored Dodge Durango parked in the handicapped lot at the side of the building; it was struck by an unknown vehicle. The Durango sustained damage to its rear quarter panel and bumper. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lawrence Township police.
- Police are searching for a HTC Hero Smart Phone, which is black in color with Sprint service. It was lost or stolen from the Kwik Fill gas station on South Second Street.
- Police responded to Clarendon Avenue for personal property being illegally retained by a family member.
