Cleveland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Reigning top rookie Kyrie Irving tallied 22 points and Omri Casspi scored all of Cleveland’s seven markers in overtime as the Cavaliers kept the Orlando Magic winless with a 114-111 win Monday at Quicken Loans Arena.

Irving, who entered the game shooting just 23.9 percent from the field, snapped out of his preseason shooting slump, making five of his eight attempts and sinking all 11 of his foul shots to lead the Cavaliers (3-2) to their third win in five games.

Irving also issued three assists and two rebounds in 26 minutes of action while backcourt partner CJ Miles added 17 markers on 6-for-11 shooting.

Casspi scored 12 points while Alonzo Gee and Tyler Zeller added 13 and 10, respectively, off the bench. Cleveland rookie top pick Dion Waiters contributed eight points while starting alongside good friend Irving.

The Magic (0-3) were led by Glen Davis, who scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds but missed a potential game-winning jumper in regulation. JJ Redick, E’Twaun Moore and Andrew Nicholson combined for 47 points off the bench.

Irving, who scored 18 points in the first half, gave the Cavaliers a 57-43 lead with two foul shots with less than seven minutes left in the third period.

The Magic, behind Davis, Redick, Moore and Nicholson, brought the Magic back to life, grabbing a 107-104 lead with seven seconds left in regulation.

Jeremy Pargo, however, completed a three-point play off a foul by Nicholson to send the game to overtime. Casspi then took over in the extra period, scoring a three-pointer and two dunks to lead the Cavs to victory.

Before the game, the Cavaliers have waived guard Kelenna Azubuike, who was obtained in the draft-night trade that brought the rights to rookie Tyler Zeller from Dallas.

He appeared in one preseason game, scoring six points and adding three rebounds in 14 minutes.
