California executive arrested on suspicion of killing missing wife

Newport Beach, CA, United States (4E) – A 48-year-old California businessman has been taken in custody last Friday for the alleged murder of his wife who reportedly disappeared Wednesday.
According to authorities, Peter Chadwick, a business executive from Newport Beach, was arrested on Thursday in San Diego County new the Mexican Border, in connection with the death of his 46-year-old wife, Quee Chadwick.
Detectives are already investigating his movements since he left the home Wednesday, after evidence revealed that the man’s wife was the victim of a homicide.
Newport police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe Police said that officers arrived at the Chadwicks’ $2.5-million home on Almanzora on Wednesday evening after being alerted by a neighbor that nobody fetched the couple’s three children from school.
The Chadwick children are 8, 10 and 14 years old.
Police officers reported evidence of a struggle and possible foul play after stepping inside the couple’s home and worried that the attack is violent, quickly started a search for the Chadwicks.
They were not located until 5:30 a.m. Thursday when Peter Chadwick called San Diego police for help.
A neighbor, Yulianna Nikulina, said that she did not hear anything on the day of the supposed murder but she claimed hearing a woman screaming at the Chadwick home earlier in the week.
The neighbor added that the family is normally polite and quiet and she had never heard previous sounds of fighting coming from the house.
Officials are intensively searching the areas where Quee Chadwick’s husband traveled before calling police Thursday to try to find the woman’s body.
The husband is being held on a $1.5-million bail.
