CLEARFIELD – A 44-year-old Lebanon, MO man who has been accused of sexually assaulting a young girl waived his right to a preliminary hearing during Centralized Court Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the victim arrived at the Clearfield-based state police barracks on April 14 at which time she reported the alleged sexual assault. She alleged that West had been having sex with her for several years, beginning when she was 11 years old at a private residence in Woodland.

In her written statement, the victim alleged West had oral, anal and vaginal intercourse with her. In addition, she alleged the defendant made her inappropriately touch him when she was 11 years old. She stated the alleged incidences occurred at the residence, in a truck and in other states to which she traveled with him.

“He told me if I ever told, he would deny it and nobody would believe me,” said the victim, according to the affidavit of probable cause.

On Sept. 27, West was interviewed by state police; after the initial interview, he admitted to engaging in vaginal sexual intercourse with the victim on four, separate occasions within the residence. He admitted to receiving oral sex from the victim at the residence.

West acknowledged that the victim was 14 years old at the time of the sexual intercourse.

He further admitted to photographing the victim while she performed oral sex on him and posing in sexual positions.
