Ohio State, Texas agree to home-and-home football series in 2022, 2023

columbus, OH, United States (4E Sports) – With an eye on the upcoming new playoff system in college football Ohio State and Texas agreed to a home-and-home series 10 years from now.
The traditional powers will meet in Austin, Texas, in 2022 and in Columbus in 2023.
It is the latest matchup in the response by big time programs to improve their strength of schedule in the new playoff system that hs yet to be finalized.
The games are scheduled to be played Sept. 17, 2022, in Texas Stadium and Sept. 16, 2023, in Ohio Stadium.
The schools have met three times before including a home-and-home series in 2005 and 2006. The Longhorns and Buckeyes also clashed in the 2009 Fiesta Bowl.
Texas has a 2-1 edge in the brief series.
