Man Charged with Arson, Auto Theft

CLEARFIELD – A 19-year-old Clearfield man is facing charges for arson, theft of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief.
The man allegedly stole a vehicle Sept. 5, while it was parked on Dorey Street. He then burned the vehicle on 21st Street on Sept. 9.
The estimated value of the vehicle was $4,000, police said.
He was lodged at the Clearfield County Jail for a probation violation. Lawrence Township police assisted in the investigation.
