Bomb threat closes two Ohio Educational Institutions

Newark, OH, United States (4E) – The Ohio State University and Central Ohio Technical College has been declared close Tuesday morning after a reported bomb threat.

Public Safety Director Denny Hollern said that the campus will stay closed as campus officers are still working with the Newark police and fire departments to investigate the case.

A special alert posted on the OSU Newark campus website stated that “the Newark Campus of OSU and COTC is CLOSED due to a Bomb Threat until further notice! Investigation is continuing, updates later.”

The two institutions have a total of 7,150 students.
