Clearfield Overtakes Bellefonte 4-2 in Fall Ball

BELLEFONTE — After being shut out for six innings, the Clearfield fall baseball team rallied in the top of the seventh to pull out a 4-2 win over Bellefonte Sunday afternoon.

Curtis Collins singled across the winning run after Dan Collins had driven in the tying marker.

Wyatt Westen was the beneficiary of the comeback, pitching a complete-game two-hitter with seven strikeouts.

Clearfield’s Cole Kephart and Bellefonte’s Noah Perryman had doubles.

The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was rained out in the bottom of the fifth inning with Clearfield holding a 10-4 lead.

Clearfield will take an 8-3-1 record to Altoona Sunday for a twinbill starting at 1 p.m.
