Lane Closure Lifted on Kylertown Bridge Job on I-80

CLEARFIELD – PennDOT lifted an eastbound lane closure today on a bridge replacement job at the Kylertown/133 interchange of Interstate 80. PennDOT has worked all year to replace the two eastbound Kylertown bridges, which date from the original build of I-80. PennDOT replaced the westbound bridges in 2011.

With the end of the eastbound right-lane closure, drivers now have two lanes to use through the Kylertown interchange area.

Over the next few weeks, work will continue on I-80 eastbound, Route 53, and Route 2037, Winburne Road/Main Street. Drivers may encounter short-term lane closures on I-80 and alternating traffic patterns with flagging along Routes 53 and 2037. All work is weather and schedule dependent.

Updated information on the project is available on message boards and through the Highway Advisory Radio System at 1640 on the am dial.

Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. is the contractor on this $10 million project.
