Obituary Notice: Elizabeth C. Fisher

Elizabeth Christine Fisher, 93, of Curwensville died Monday Sept. 24, 2012 at Ridgeview Elder Care.
Born March 31, 1919 in Grampian, she was the daughter of Clark and Dora (Spencer) Taylor. Mrs. Fisher was a homemaker and also was retired from the former Kent’s Sportswear in Curwensville after 21 years of service. She was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church and a former member of the choir.
She wed Alvin Fisher in 1936 and who preceded her in death in 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Brenda Sharrer; a brother, Milton Taylor; and three sisters, Alice Scott, Genevieve Harman and Louella Selfridge.
Surviving are two children, Mona Elaine Gaddis of Akron, NY and Gordon Fisher of Curwensville. Also surviving are three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren and a sister, Norma Law of Colorado.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fisher will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville, with the Rev. William Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park of Hyde.
Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
