State Police Probing Burglary/Assault Incident

COALPORT – The investigation is continuing into an incident of burglary/assault that occurred at 9:05 p.m. Friday on Forest Street in Coalport, according to the Clearfield-based state police.
A suspect entered a 44-year-old Coalport woman’s residence by unknown means. Once inside, they located her purse and removed approximately $800 in U.S. Currency.
The woman returned to her residence at which point she was struck in the back of the head with an unknown blunt object. She was knocked to the ground as a result.
The suspect fled the scene.
