No Injuries Reported after Horton Township Accident

HORTON TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 8:40 a.m. Friday on U.S. Route 219 at its intersection with Keystone Road in Horton Township, according to the Ridgway-based state police.
Scott N. Covert, 51, of Union, NJ was stopped at the intersection in the southbound lane. Jeremy S. Lechner, 23, of St. Marys was traveling in the southbound lane of U.S. Route 219 and didn’t observe the Covert vehicle.
Lechner subsequently rear-ended the Covert vehicle. He was cited for following too closely. Covert was cited for drivers required to be licensed.
Neither Lechner nor Covert was injured in the accident. Both men were wearing their seatbelts.
