Minor Injuries Reported after Single-vehicle Accident in Fox Township

FOX TOWNSHIP – Minor injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 7:30 a.m. Monday on Toby Road north of Kyler Road in Fox Township, according to the Ridgway-based state police.

Kurt G. Richards, 43, of St. Marys was traveling southbound when his vehicle exited the roadway and struck a mailbox. The Richards vehicle then traveled across the roadway and onto the east berm.

At that point, the Richards vehicle struck two trees before coming to a rest on the east berm, facing south.

Richards was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Elk Regional Health Center. He was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

State police were assisted by Fox Township’s fire department and emergency medical services.
