DUBOIS – A short paving project will start Tuesday on Route 830 near Falls Creek.

Crews will be working during daylight hours to improve the roadway surface from the railroad tracks to the Jefferson County line in Falls Creek. Once the roadway surface has been replaced, area drivers will enjoy an improved roadway surface and smoother ride quality.

Drivers should be alert for flaggers in the roadway as they control an alternating traffic pattern. Short travel delays through the area should be expected. Work is anticipated to occur between Tuesday, Sept. 25 and Friday, Sept. 28. All work is weather dependent.

Crews will be working to excavate and remove the existing concrete pavement and place base, binder and final paving. Grannas Brothers Stone and Asphalt Company of Hollidaysburg is the contractor for this work, which is part of a $6.5 million contract to address 13 routes in Clearfield County.

Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits, proceed through work zones with caution, and always buckle up.
