Brockway Man Killed in Washington Township Accident

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – A 22-year-old Brockway man, Ryan James Brosky, was killed after a single-vehicle accident at 11:08 p.m. Saturday along state Route 1009 south of Beechtree Road in Washington Township, according to the DuBois-based state police.

Brosky was traveling northbound when he lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons. His vehicle crossed the southbound lane and exited the west berm, where it struck a large maple tree.

Brosky was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Ralph T. August. He wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. His vehicle sustained severe frontal damage.

State police were assisted at the scene by the Falls Creek Fire Department, Brockway Ambulance personnel, August and Zimmerman Towing.
