Hoylake, England, United Kingdom (4E Sports) – Jiyai Shin of South Korea coasted to a victory at the women’s British Open on Sunday to win her second career major championship.

Shin signed for a final-round of 1-over-par 73 to win by nine shots in terrible weather at Royal Liverpool.

The only player to finish under-par for the tournament, Shin finished at 9-under 279 to complete an Asian sweep of the year’s four women’s majors.

Inbee Park finished at even-par after a birdie on her final hole to take second place. Paula Creamer fired a fourth-round 72, tying for the best rounds of the day, to finish third.

Thie event will mostly be remember for the weather along with Shin’s dominant performance. Wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour on Friday resulted in a suspension of play which forced players to complete their third rounds on Sunday.

Shin handled the conditions the best and cruised to the win.
