Pedestrian Sustains Minor Injuries in Accident

CLEARFIELD – A 55-year-old Hyde man was struck in a pedestrian versus vehicle accident in which he sustained minor injuries at 3:50 p.m. yesterday, according to the Lawrence Township Police Department.

A Clearfield man stopped along McPherson Street and noticed the Hyde man who was speaking with someone along Washington Avenue. The man looked westward to see if traffic had cleared.

He failed to notice that the Hyde man had started walking in front of him. The man proceeded and struck the Hyde pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to the Clearfield Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police were assisted at the scene by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services.
