Bison Baseball Alumni Game Set for Saturday

CLEARFIELD — All former Clearfield Area High School players who look forward to the Bison Baseball Alumni Weekend will be converging on the Lawrence Township Recreation Park Friday and Saturday.

The eighth annual Bison Baseball Alumni game is set for Saturday at 12:05 p.m. at the LTRP Field, but the event will get under way Friday with a batting practice session at 5 p.m., followed immediately by a social at the park.

On Saturday, players are requested to report at 10:30 a.m. for distribution of shirts and hats and group photos at 11 o’clock.

Preceding the game will be a Home Run Derby at approximately 11:15.

Following the final out, players and their guests are invited to gather at the Clearfield VFW Picnic Grounds for dinner, starting as close to 4:30 p.m. as possible, and a party.

Lansberry, the Bison’s longtime head coach, encourages players who wore the Red and Black to attend, whether or not they want to participate in the actual game, and join in the fellowship with former teammates.
