Commemorating the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks
Yesterday, U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson and more than 70 lawmakers joined the United Service Organizations (USO) to put together care packages for troops in Afghanistan and to commemorate the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The event – a joint initiative led by USOand the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition, titled “Operation USO Care Package” – was a service project to support America’s troops and their families.
