New York, NY, United States (4E) – Weight Watchers has released their newest campaign with WW ambassador Jessica Simpson sharing her views on why she chose WW, and her woes on shedding post-pregnancy weight.
Cheryl Callan, Senior Vice President of Weight Watchers expressed in a press release, “Jessica has chosen to join Weight Watchers to adopt a healthier lifestyle and we hope this introductory campaign will inspire others to do the same. She has made clear her commitment to learn the skills to make healthy choices and adopt habits that will help her to keep the weight off.”
In the release, Simpson was also quoted saying, “I’ve tried every diet in the book and realized that this time I’m going to adopt healthy habits that can last a lifetime. I’m committed to setting a good example for my daughter and to me that means eating the foods I love while learning to control portions and make healthier choices. The eye-opener for me is that for the first time I’m losing weight without feeling deprived. I’m just getting started, but it’s working and I feel great.”
On the other hand, Simpson says in the new campaign video, There is a lot of pressure to lose weight, but I’m not a supermodel. I’m just Jessica, trying to eat real food in the real world, and I really just want to be healthy for my daughter.”
The public go to see Simpson’s new trim[er] body on Monday’s Katie Couric show. She may not [yet] be back to her old super slim frame, but to lose 40 lbs the healthy way for only a few months, that’s something.
In OCuric’s show, Simpson said that she’s striving hard to maintain her diet and to do 14,000 steps a day.
Aside from Simpson, other stars and celebrities debuting in Weight Watchers are Jennifer Hudson and Charles Barkley.
