Minor Injuries Reported after Covington Township Accident

COVINGTON TOWNSHIP – Minor injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident that occurred at 6:15 p.m. Saturday on St. Marys Lane in Covington Township, according to the Clearfield-based state police.

Lois A. Rougeaux, 92, of Frenchville was traveling eastbound down Church Lane when her vehicle lost its power steering and brakes. She wasn’t able to maintain control of the vehicle.

Her vehicle traveled down Church Lane over a traffic island. After impacting the traffic island, it struck the roadway before traveling across St. Marys Lane into a yard, where it came to a final resting position approximately five feet from a residence.

Rougeaux was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
