East Rutherford, NJ, United States (4E Sports) – Chuck Giallorenzo defeated Dave Danchak, 7-3, Tuesday to rule the Tri-State Tour’s New Jersey stop for the second straight year at Castle Billiards.

Giallorenzo went undefeated in the tournament participated in by a field of 40 A-D players. He advanced to the final after beating Jack Smith, 7-2, in the final four of the winners’ bracket before defeating Danchak, 7-3.

The defeat dropped Danchak to the losers’ bracket, where he beat Eddie Perez, 6-5, to seal his title clash against Giallorenzo.

Riding the momentum of his earlier victory, Giallorenzo dominated Danchak in the finals to clinch his first title of the year and the $575 top prize that goes with it.

Danchak settled for $375, Perez earned $225 for his third-place finish and Smith $150 for his fourth-place effort.

In 2011, Giallorenzo appeared seven times on the Tri-State Tour but just won once, also at Castle Billiards. He also won $1,000 for topping the Predator Tour Stop in Jackson Heights, New York.

The next stop on the Tri-State Tour is scheduled for September 15, at the Cue Bar, in Bayside, New York.
