San Francisco, CA, United States (4E Sports) – Alex Castellanos scored on a wild pitch by Matt Cain and short stop Hanley Ramirez ripped an RBI double to rally the Los Angeles Dodgers past the San Francisco Giants, 3-2, Saturday at AT&T Park.

The Dodgers bounced back from a 5-2 loss in Friday’s opener of their crucial three-game series against the Giants, leaning on the hustle play of Castellanos and clutch hitting by Ramirez to keep themselves within reach of the NL West crown.

Matt Cain started strong for the Giants, keeping the Dodgers scoreless into the fifth inning until Shane Victorino hit a run-producing sacrifice fly in the sixth inning.

Brandon Belt put the Giants ahead, 2-1, with a key RBI in the seventh inning. However, Cain threw a wild pitch in the eighth inning, allowing Castellanos to sneak in for the equalizer.

Ramirez then came through with a go-ahead hit off relief pitcher Jeremy Affeldt in the ninth inning, while Brandon League shut down the Giants in their final turn to secure the win.

The win put the Dodgers (74-66) 4.5 games behind the Giants (78-61) for the NL West race.
