DuBois Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident

BRADY TOWNSHIP – A 61-year-old DuBois man was killed in a motorcycle accident at approximately 6:30 p.m. Friday on state Route 4009 in Brady Township, according to the DuBois-based state police.

The accident victim was identified as George Stephen McClure, 61, of DuBois. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Clearfield County Coroner Mike Morris.

McClure was traveling southbound on SR 4009 when he lost control of his motorcycle for unknown reasons. His motorcycle exited the roadway and struck a mailbox before continuing southbound and striking a fence post and then a utility pole.

The McClure motorcycle sustained severe damage. State police were assisted at the scene by the Brady Township Fire Department.
