No Injuries Reported after Jay Township Accident

JAY TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 11:57 a.m. Monday on River Road in Jay Township, according to the Ridgway-based state police.

Thomas L. Wilkinson, 54, of Mars was slowing for traffic ahead. Richard B. Fallecker, 21, of Valencia was traveling behind the Wilkinson vehicle. Fallecker failed to observe the Wilkinson vehicle slowing and attempted to steer leftward.

The Fallecker vehicle struck that of Wilkinson and continued across the roadway. There, it struck an embankment and overturned onto its roof. The Wilkinson vehicle came to a controlled stop in the westbound lane.

Neither Fallecker nor his passenger Michael D. Fallecker, 24, of Valencia was injured. In addition, neither Wilkinson nor his passenger Kimberly V. Wilkinson, 47, of Mars was injured in the accident. All four were wearing their seatbelts.

Fallecker was cited for following too closely through the district court. His vehicle was towed from the scene.

State police were assisted by the Jay Township Fire Department and the Jay Township Fire Police.
