Conservation Celebration Set for Saturday at Curwensville Lake

CURWENSVILLE – A day of “education and fun” has been planned for the Conservation Celebration this Saturday at the Curwensville Lake Recreation Area. The event is open from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and all activities are free.

The event features an array of hands-on activities, such as live amphibians/reptiles and farm animals, a butterfly display, a bald eagle presentation, wildlife tracks, an interactive recycling game, stream dynamics, canoe/kayak demonstrations, arts and crafts, “make-it and take-it projects and games and prizes.

The event is hosted by the Clearfield County Conservation District, which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. For additional information, please call the district at 814-765-2629.
