New York, NY, United States (4E Sports) – Former NBA center Shaquille O’Neal is reportedly planning to come out of retirement to play a few hoops game north of the border, a major sports media outlet reported Thursday.
Sources indicated O’Neal is currently in talks with a Mexican league ball club Fuerza Regia, which seems determined to bring in the most dominant center in NBA history.
O’Neal reportedly received the invitation to play in the Mexican league during community service he did in Monterrey last August.
The former NBA superstar said his availability depends on his schedule on TNT, where he worked as an analyst.
Before O’Neal, Fuerza Regia also brought in Hall of Fame player Dennis Rodman for two games in 2004 and 7-foot-9 Sun Ming Ming of China.
