JOHNSONBURG – A 54-year-old Johnsonburg man, Edward Joseph Pisani, was jailed on drug charges at 6:10 a.m. Thursday after a search of his 433 Second Ave. residence in Johnsonburg Borough, according to the Ridgway-based state police.

Pisani faces charges of unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge George King. His bail was set at $25,000 straight, which he wasn’t able to post. Pisani is incarcerated at the Elk County Jail.

Pennsylvania State Police’s Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) executed a search warrant for the Troop C Vice Unit at the Pisani residence. SERT obtained the warrant due to violations of the Controlled Substance Drug Device and Cosmetic Act.

SERT seized a Glock .40-caliber handgun, approximately five pounds of processed marijuana, 32 marijuana plants and various drug paraphernalia, including controlled substance manufacturing equipment.
