One Injured after Pike Township Mishap

PIKE TOWNSHIP – One person sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 11 p.m. Friday on the Bloomington – Glen Richey Highway in Pike Township, the Clearfield-based state police reported.

Tyler L. Best, 27, of Curwensville was traveling westbound and Cindy M. Selfridge, 53, of Glen Richey was traveling eastbound. The Best vehicle crossed the centerline, causing the two vehicles to side-swipe.

The Best vehicle was removed from the scene by a private vehicle. Selfridge attempted to drive away from the scene but her vehicle became disabled.

Neither Best nor his passenger Heidi R. Ogden, 22, of Curwensville was injured in the mishap. Selfridge sustained minor injuries; her passenger William J. Poole Jr., 46, of Glen Richey wasn’t injured.

Best was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic and Selfridge for careless driving.
