Church Burglarized in Falls Creek

FALLS CREEK – St. Bernard’s Church, located on Taylor Avenue, was burglarized sometime between 4 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday in Falls Creek Borough, the DuBois-based state police reported.

Someone disconnected the power to the church before breaking a window within a basement door. Once inside they broke into a locked office and entered a safe, stealing several books of records, the church’s official seal and several envelopes containing church records.

Damage is estimated at $800 with the stolen items valued at $300, state police said. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the DuBois-based state police at 814-371-4652.
