Obituary Notice: Evelyn B. Maines

Evelyn B. Maines, 87, of Clearfield and formerly of Houtzdale died Thursday at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

Born April 15, 1925 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Leona Dullry. She attended the Ramey Baptist Church.

Mrs. Maines worked as a bundler at the former Wilkinson’s Sawmill.

She married Emery C. Maines, who preceded her in death on April 5, 1998. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Richard Brown and numerous brothers and sisters.

She’s survived by three daughters, Nancy English and her husband, Ronald of Houtzdale and Barbara J. Merritt and Marilyn Spencer, both of Philipsburg, seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Chapel of the Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills with the Pastor Jennifer Heikes officiating. Burial will be in the Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.

There will not be any public viewing or visitation.
