Jewell’s Garage Burglarized in Winslow Township

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP – Jewell’s Garage was burglarized sometime between 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. Thursday in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.
According to the DuBois-based state police, someone secured power to the garage by removing the electric meter. Once inside they used tools to breach and damage a steel safe.
They removed approximately $4,000 and several state inspection stickers. The steel safe sustained an estimated $700 worth of damage, state police said.
