Constituent Services Available through Harrisburg Office
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Camille “Bud” George, D-74 of Clearfield County, is reminding constituents that his offices remain open for constituent services, but those seeking assistance should contact the Harrisburg office to receive the fastest service.
“The House of Representatives will not return to session until September, but my office remains open and will continue to assist people with state documents through the end of the legislative term, which ends Nov. 30,” George said. “To save time and money, my Harrisburg office should be the first place to contact.”
Those needing assistance should send all requests for state documents – motor vehicle concerns, birth certificates, handicap plates and placards, etc. – directly to the Harrisburg office at:
Rep. Camille “Bud” George
38B East Wing, P.O. Box 202074
Harrisburg, PA 17120-2074
Toll-free phone: 1-866-354-0890
“You can save time and money by sending the requests straight to my Harrisburg office,” George said. “Instead of losing three days in the mail by me having to reroute mail from Houtzdale to Harrisburg, my staff and I can handle your requests more efficiently and save money on postage.
“Because of increasing postage costs and a limited budget for postage, I may be forced to curtail mailings from my district office in Houtzdale for items that should go straight to Harrisburg,” George said.
George said residents should begin exploring alternative assistance for items that take several weeks for processing, including birth certificates, child-abuse and criminal record clearances, and citations. Upon George’s Nov. 30 retirement, his office will no longer be able to assist in processing or forwarding those items to the appropriate entities.
George also said his office is prepared to assist anyone needing help to obtain photo identification in order to vote as required by the new Voter ID law.
“Until the state Supreme Court issues a final ruling on Voter ID, we must move forward with compliance with the new law,” George said. “To resolve any potential problems at the polls, constituents who lack photo identification should contact my Harrisburg office as soon as possible if they need assistance.
“I look forward to continuing to serve the constituents of the 74th District for the next few months,” George said. “Help us help you so that we can process these items in the quickest way possible.”
