RUSHTOWNSHIP– No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 11:45 a.m. Monday along Phoenix Road east of Dale Road in Rush Township, the Philipsburg-based state police reported.
Brandon S. Condon, 18, of Osceola Mills was negotiating a right-hand curve down hill. Because he was traveling too fast, his vehicle began rotating clockwise at which time it traveled off the roadway and struck a large tree.
Upon impact, the Condon vehicle bounced off the tree and rotated clockwise. It came to a rest in the westbound lane, facing north. Condon was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, which deployed his airbag and prevented serious injury.
Condon was cited for not operating his vehicle at a safe speed.
