I-80 Westbound Closed at Penfield/111 Exit

CLEARFIELD – PennDOT advises drivers that Interstate 80 westbound is closed in Clearfield County near Exit 111 at Penfield. A tractor-trailer fire makes the closure necessary. PennDOT is currently clearing out the westbound backlog but the road remains closed at this time.

Traffic is being routed using the blue detour. Vehicles will exit I-80 westbound at the 120/Clearfield interchange and follow Route 879 west to Route 322 west/Route 153 north and back to I-80 westbound at the 111/Penfield interchange .

PennDOT expects to re-open the roadway by noon. Drivers should be alert for stopped or slowed traffic along I-80 and as traffic exits and re-enters the highway.
