Raptors wrap Summer League stint with rout of Knicks

Las Vegas, NV, United States (4E Sports) – The Toronto Raptors’ Summer League Team closed out their schedule for this year’s edition with a 94-92 victory over the New York Knicks Friday night at Cox Pavilion.
Ben Uzoh had a team-high 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting, while Ed Davis added 15 points to go with 10 boards for the victors.
Chris Wright also had 15 markers and Bobby Brown scored 13 as the Raptors finished their five-game stay in the Vegas League with a 2-3 record.
Toronto began to pull away in the third stanza with a 22-6 outburst in a span of 7:48 resulting to a 73-57 advantage.
The Raptors led by as many as 16 late in the quarter before fending off a late 15-5 surge by the Knicks in the final four minutes of regulation.
New York’s Chris Copeland finished with a game-best 17 on 5-of-12 shooting, including going 3-for-3 from the 3-point arc, to lead three other Knicks players in double-figures.
Mustapha Farrakhan added 12 and Chris Smith and Sylven Landesberg had 10 points apiece for the Knicks, who remain winless after four games.
The Knicks are expected to finish their 2012 Summer League schedule on a winning note Friday against Cleveland.
