Vehicle Fire Ruled Arson

ST. MARYS – A vehicle fire, which occurred at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday on Rettger Street in St. Marys, has been ruled an arson and remains under investigation, according to the Ridgway-based state police.
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal, the St. Marys City Police Department and the Crystal Fire Department investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire damaged a 1993 Ford Tempo that was parked in the residential driveway of Marcia Salter, of St. Marys. Salter owned the vehicle.
State police said the fire has been ruled an arson but remains under investigation at this time. A damage estimate wasn’t available. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
