Unknown Person Makes Threat to Blow Up SCI-Houtzdale

HOUTZDALE – The state police in Clearfield are investigating a threat to blow up the State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale.
According to police, an unknown man called the control room at the prison four times on June 28. Police said during the first call, he threatened to blow up the prison.
The investigation is ongoing and police are awaiting phone records from Verizon. Anyone with information into this incident is urged to contact the state police in Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
