Sao Paulo Fashion Week kicks off Monday

Sao Paulo, Brazil (4E) – Brazil’s largest and most lavish fashion week kicks off Monday.

Fabled designers highlighted at the event include Alexandre Herchovitch, Tufi Duek and Reinaldo Lourenco.

Since its debut in 1996, São Paulo Fashion Week has become Latin America’s most significant fashion event.

Following in the footsteps of the smaller scale Fashion Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo Fashion Week has emerged as one of the most important and heavily attended affairs in the fashion industry.

Some of Brazil’s biggest labels will showcase their spring 2013 lines.

Transgender model Lea T., who recently made her first post-op runway appearance, has already been confirmed to walk in a series of shows.
