Toronto, Canada (AHN Sports) – Blue Jays starter Brandon Morrow has left the game with an apparent rib injury after facing just two batters in the first inning of their interleague encounter with the Washington Nationals Monday at Rogers Centre.

Morrow (7-3) gave up a single to left fielder Steve Lombardozzi and was down 2-1 to Bryce Harper when he left the game after just nine pitches.

He was replaced by Chad Beck.

He threw a season-high 119 pitches in a complete game shutout of the Chicago White Sox Wednesday.
